Cardinal Nest Cam in Georgia

cardinal.jpg

This bird nest cam features a pair of Northern Cardinals currently nesting on their eggs.  There are two eggs in the nest - the first one noticed on June 7th and the second one on June 8th.  They are eggspected to hatch (sorry, I couldn’t resist) around June 20th.  The Cardinal nest cam is on from around 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time and has live streaming video.

Your Cardinal webcam is amazing. I have been watching it all morning. I did not know that Cardinals would build their nests so low. We are from Cape Cod, Mass. and my sister-in-law has a nest in a low large bush in her front yard. She didn’t know what kind of bird would build a next there. This probably answers our question. Can’t wait to see the babies hatch. Keep up the good work! PS. Does the male ever come to the nest? thanks!

Sadly, blue jays have eaten both babies.
