The Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area birdwatching cam comes to you live from Great Bend, KS and is a huge marsh where thousands of birds stop to rest while migrating from north to south and vice versa. The spring and fall are the most active times to watch, and you may be surprised to find out that you can see PELICANS here in the spring! Yes, Pelicans in Kansas. Ok, well I’m an amature bird watcher so this is a surprise to me. :)

I visited last fall and there were thousands upon thousands of Canadian geese. There are also herons, egrets, sandhill cranes and many other species of birds to watch here.
